Lessons:
The Alexander Technique is usually taught by means of private lessons. In a lesson with me you will be taught, through verbal instruction and gentle touch, how you habitually sit, stand and move and how to use yourself differently in ways that improve posture and breathing, contribute to ease, prevent pain and enhance performance.
Most lessons consist of chair work and table work. You may be interested in enhancing your skills in singing, playing an instrument, working out, using a computer, performing an athletic sport; this can be addressed during a lesson.
Lessons are usually forty-five minutes long. You should wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing that will allow you freedom of movement as you sit, stand, walk and lie down. The number of lessons varies depending upon your initial condition and personal goals.
